Hasham Nasir
At the Lahore University of Management Sciences, Hasham Nasir works as a Teaching Fellow, imparting knowledge on a range of topics such as education and conflict, gender media and education, philosophy of education, and leadership. His research interests are interdisciplinary and revolve around examining how education and the internet can contribute to transforming gender power relations, governance, statehood, and democracy in Pakistan. Nasir has been awarded various grants and scholarships, including the LUMS Learning Institute Pedagogical Partnerships Programme grant, The Williams Institute, UCLA Small Grants Programme, and Chevening scholarship. He has a Master's degree in Gender Media and Culture from the London School of Economics and Political Science, along with a certificate in Media Policy and Regulation from the Oxford Media Policy Institute at the University of Oxford. In addition to his academic and research pursuits, Nasir is spearheading the curriculum development for the Dialogue Academy. He believes when we listen carefully, think about what's being said, and ask questions with an open mind, we can truly understand each other's points of view. This helps us break down walls, clear up confusion, and ease tensions, leading to peaceful solutions and stronger connections with one another. When he has free time, Nasir enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his three dogs and two cats. He is also an avid gardener.
